Show Me Yours...

I have advised all collectors participating to send me pictures of their collections. This is my first lady sneaker collector, Erica. She got into a rumble with Papa Z(MVP) over the "TIFFANY" Blazer, just kidding. But they did run into each other while searching for the balloon. These kinda of chance meetings with other collectors is kinda of what I was hoping for, Erica and Papa Z landed up looking for the balloon together. I hope more chance meetings come along the way, share your stories and I'll post them. I can only hope that the community around sneaker culture will grow and grow and if my little balloons help to do this, than it's all smiles on my part.

Happy Hunting!

Sneaker Juice DROP!!!

Tonight was a very windy night downtown. I was hoping that the weather would chill a bit so I could put some more in the open with out having to worry about them blowing away...But no dice so I focused on nob hill cause their are plenty of nooks and crannies(SP). Happy Hunting and good luck...

Clue#1(Nob Hill):Tiffany and I were taking a stroll when we came across a glowing HOBO...must of been the moonshine...

ps. I would really like some feedback or some suggestions on how I can make this scavenger hunt better...So feel free to comment/make suggestions. I appreciate it....

"Sneaker Juice"

So I just got a text 3 hours ago from my brother, he got the last remaining shoe (Frankie"s Gore)that was out. This time around I didn't release the clues until a day later. Thus far most of the shoes got snatched up in a hour or so. So I figured that this would give it more time to run. In total I dropped an extra two on campus, so there were 5 total on campus. Trying to give everyone an opportunity to get a balloon. I will post the deadstock list here in a few. Keep checking for clues and good luck to everyone participating.

"Smoking Kills"

This is the first work-in-progress panel in a new series called "Smoking Kills." I'm hoping that I can eventually get this series of panels published into a small book. All panels will be scracthboard mixed media. They all tackle the idea of progressively killing yourself at the mercy of an addiction. Having smoked for close to a decade and feeling the health affects the older I get. I really wanted to embody the feeling of decay and use that as a foundation towards something that resembled the idea of death. Twisting it with the use of bold and bright colors, keeping with my style and vocabulary.

The reason you don't have any balloons...

So as of 7 o'clock tonight all the shoes that I had released were gone. Which brings me to the reason I'm posting this blog...We have an MVP up in the mix. Thus far this collector has gathered more than half of the balloons that have been released. Papa Z is my first cousin and is nutty about collecting the SNEAKER JUICE balloons. Although he is family, this guy has played by all the rules, never getting a clue or an extra hint more than any other player. He's just hungry for those sneaker, and thats the kind of attitude that amasses you quite the collection. So hats off to Papa Z for his hunting skills.

"Sneaker Juice Release"

So today was one of the dopest days its been in a long time, nice breeze great for driving around. So I seized the day and released two balloons. One of the balloons is a special colorway. I'm the creative director/owner of a clothing company called REFIRED. It all has to do with Albuquerque lifestyle. So this balloon will be an ode to the New Mexico flag...

Clue#1:Central
These fellas helped me to move my balloon in the right direction. I had to brace myself for the underground passage, LA SMOOCH. I couldnt have navigated my way through life without there help their next to aces in my book.

Clue#2:Campus
As I flew over the mirror, I realized I had forgot my DUCKets. "BLAST!" I said, I wont't be able to buy my concrete curve. I'll just settle for the bend of the trees.

HAPPY HUNTING!

Sneaker Juice Update!!!

Tonight was a great night, I spent most of it driving around looking for the best spots to release some shoes. One of the best things about Burque is that when the weather is lovely all you need is a hoody. So tonight I released two shoes, because it wasn't its normal shitty weather...

Clue#1 Campus:When I first discovered campus I found out that their was a rail made of tree...I later found out that their was a baby tree rail and the tree rail of death...

Clue#2 Nob Hill:Exiting the mouth of the GECKO, I was spat onto the steep and narrow passage towards the vision of ground...

Sneaker Juice!!!update

So the first wave of sneakers got devoured...I later release the colorways deadstocked. For now i'll just give the next clues...

1.Downtown: I can't see past la posada, if I could have only caught a bus to see that play the GALLERIA.
2.Campus: I ran into the ghost bike the other day he tried to steal my heart, I told him ART had already tooken it.

Hunting for Sneaker Juice!!!!

Okay so heres the deal:

Falling in love with the bedtime story The woman who lived in a shoe. I took that story and flipped it. I've been doing the Sneaker Juice Balloon for about 3 years but have simply kept it to sketch book drawings, until now. Anyone who knows me knows that the Nike Blazer is my all time favorite shoe. Having a collection of my own Blazers. I understand the mentality of waiting all night for a sneaker release. So this game will run like a release each shoe numbered and signed by me.

I will be installing my signature Sneaker Juice Balloons around Downtown and the Nob hill area. They are free to take(simply put up with small nails.) Each panel has been semi treated so the quicker you try to find them the better condition they'll be. Each shoe is different from the next and I can promise that no two will ever look alike.

Rules:
1.I will drop a hint via text for those who want to play or I will post it on this blog. The moment I leave the spot, having run a little test run this morning one of my balloons was gone within 45 minutes of me leaving the spot, so get them when you can.
2.HAVE FUN, ENJOY MY SNEAKERS...
